SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER
Dear Parents,
Welcome to a new school year!
I hope you all had a great summer. I will be writing monthly newsletters to keep you informed of school events and activities. The newsletters are also posted on our website as well as breakfast and lunch menus.
It is very important that you are informed of the new truancy law. Please follow this link to read the article on Truancy

so there will be no surprises when you receive a phone call about your child’s absences.
At the start of this school year we have implemented a new K-12 curriculum.
Our Director of Student Services and Curriculum, Mrs. Dreyer, will be hosting an evening called, “Curriculum, Cake and Coffee”. She will be explaining the new elementary curriculum to parents on October 14th. Please note this date on your calendar.
We received a grant from the Stearns Burton Lecture Committee which will pay for Bullying sessions for our second and fourth graders. We are working with the Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention. This organization has been working in our schools for a couple of years and all grade levels have participated in these sessions. Parents are welcome to attend any classroom sessions. We will also be hosting a workshop in the evening for parents.
Appleton Parents : Pick up time is 3:25. Please be prompt picking up your child.
